High Standards
We are proud of our environmental record. Our high standards mean that we do not take short-cuts. The environmental aspect of our Corporate Responsibility program encompasses consideration for land conditions, atmosphere, biology, coastal marine and ecological preservation.
Artumas’ concessions lie in sensitive equatorial coastline areas in southern Tanzania and northern Mozambique. The Mnazi Bay Gas Field, the focus of Artumas’ Tanzanian drilling program, is located within the Mnazi Bay-Rovuma Estuary National Marine Park. These waters are recognized for their high marine biodiversity and include extensive coral reef communities unique to the region.
Together with local, regional and national government agencies and NGOs, Artumas has developed and adopted codes of conduct and operations practices that allow us to execute our upstream activity programs while protecting these vibrant marine waters, creating a minimal footprint by employing the highest environmental standards in all aspects of operations.
